Hello Students!
Wednesday, April 22 is Earth Day!
Earth Day is celebrated around the world. It’s a day where we learn about ways we can take care of our planet. The first Earth Day was celebrated on April 22, 1970. It means this year is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day!
We must take care of our planet because our planet takes care of us. We need resources like clean air, clean water, and nutritious food to stay healthy. Can you think of other resources we get from the Earth?
Animals and plants need a healthy planet too.
So, how can we take care of the Earth? You already know the 3 Rs…. REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. Let’s watch this video to find out more.
Can you think of other ways we can take care of the Earth?
One way to celebrate Earth Day is to make a pledge. A pledge for Earth Day is a like a promise or commitment to make one change in your life that will help protect the planet. For example, you can pledge to always turn off the lights when you leave the room, or pledge to pick up one piece of rubbish every day.
What will you pledge to help protect our planet?
